Who Jeremy Renner is
Jeremy Lee Renner, born 7 January 1971 in Modesto, California, is an American actor, musician and author. He studied theatre at Modesto Junior College and spent a decade in independent film and television before The Hurt Locker (2008) brought him an Academy Award nomination for Best Actor. A second nomination followed two years later for The Town.
He became known worldwide as Clint Barton in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and as William Brandt in the Mission: Impossible films, then anchored Taylor Sheridan’s Mayor of Kingstown as Mike McLusky. Away from acting he releases his own music, hosts the Disney+ series Rennervations, and runs the RennerVation Foundation, which converts decommissioned vehicles into resources for young people.
In 2023 he survived a snowplough accident that broke more than thirty bones. His recovery and what it taught him became the memoir My Next Breath, published in 2025.
